Welcome To Flagler Beach
Flagler Beach offers nothing less
than a good time on an unpretentious Florida beach that in one of
the state's most undiscovered coastal locales. Named for oil and
railroad magnate Henry Flagler, the town was the site of the magnificent
four-story Flagler Beach Hotel, which thrived during the 1920's
and disappeared in the depression. The town lays claim to six miles
of shoreline and features free street parking. In the heart of town,
the 844-foot Flagler Beach Pier offers a great place to fish or
stroll. The break by the pier makes for the best surfing in the
area, particularly after a storm. Amenities at the beach include
seasonal lifeguards, restrooms and showers.
